Tailor your resume.
Keep it true.
Paste a software-engineering job. See the proof behind every requirement, and edits your own resume can back up.
An analysis on paper: each job requirement next to the resume line that backs it, marked strong, weak or missing, an evidence coverage score of 71 percent, and a suggested rewrite that uses only words the resume supports.
Every line on your resume should be one you can defend in an interview. Backedly checks that it is.
How it works
About a minute per job.
Real screenshots. The resume and job are made up.

Other tools write what sounds good. Backedly writes what's true.
Every suggestion is checked against the text of your resume by code, not by asking the AI nicely. Here is the same line, both ways.
A generic AI rewrite
Your resume says
"Collaborated with a team of 5 engineers using Git and CI/CD pipelines."
It hands back
"Led a team of 5 engineers through a critical infrastructure migration, cutting deploy time by 40%."
Sounds great. Until an interviewer asks about the migration.
Backedly
Same line, same suggestion. Before you can use it:
3 unverified claims in this suggestion
- "Led": your resume says you collaborated.
- "critical infrastructure migration": not mentioned anywhere.
- "40%": this number isn't in your resume.
Accept it only if it's true, edit it, or reject it. Either way, nothing reaches your resume unless you say so.
Everything for the application. Nothing you'd have to defend.
Honest gaps.
Missing experience stays missing. You'll know what to learn, or what to explain in the interview, instead of finding out from the interviewer.

A score you can explain.
How much of the job your resume already backs. Not a keyword count.

Cover letter, with sources.
Every sentence points to a real line of your resume. Sentences your resume can't support are removed.

A clean one-page PDF.
Three US-style templates, a tracker for where you applied, and export is never behind a paywall.

Last updated
Will Backedly make things up on my resume?
No. Every suggestion must come from text already in your resume, and this is checked by code, not just requested from the AI. Numbers, employers and tools that your resume does not contain are flagged or removed, and nothing changes until you accept it.
What happens to my resume and the job descriptions I paste?
They are sent to Anthropic's Claude to run the analysis, and stored privately under your account. You can delete a single resume or all of your data at any time from the Resumes page.
How is the evidence coverage score calculated?
It measures how many of the job's requirements your resume already backs with real text. Required items count double, and a partial match counts half. It is not a style or keyword score, and accepting suggestions does not raise it.
Does it write cover letters?
Yes, plus a short professional summary. Each sentence has to point to a real line of your resume, and any sentence with a claim your resume does not support is removed. You can edit the result and see where each sentence comes from.
Is it free?
New accounts get 3 free analyses. Purchases are not open yet; when they are, the paid option is a one-time job-hunt pass: $49 for 15 analyses over 90 days, with no subscription and no auto-renewal. Exporting your tailored resume as a PDF is never locked behind payment.
Who is it for?
Software engineers applying to US roles, with US-style resumes (one page, no photo). Other formats are not supported yet.
